18 Years or Above
Membership is open to individuals aged eighteen (18) years and above.
02 Criterion
Of Sound Mind
Members must be of sound mind and able to make informed decisions.
03 Criterion
Tanzanian Citizen
As a local NGO, CELS membership is open to citizens of Tanzania.
Types of Membership
Two Ways to Belong
to the CELS Family
Ordinary Members
Join the Active Membership
Individuals who join the Organization after its establishment. Ordinary members pay fees, attend General Meetings, and are eligible to elect and be elected.
Honorary Members
Recognised by Contribution
Individuals awarded membership due to their positive contributions to the community and to the Organization’s objectives. Honorary members may attend and be heard but do not vote in elections.

Rights
- Attend all General Meetings of the Organization.
- Be heard on matters concerning the Organization.
- Elect leadership of the Organization (except honorary members).
- Participate in shaping programs and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Participate in organizational activities and meetings.
- Pay all prescribed membership fees and dues.
- Keep organizational matters confidential where required.
- Uphold the vision, mission, and values of CELS.
Support Our Cause
Fund a Library, a Classroom, a Future.
Our initiatives are sustained through entry and annual fees, fundraising, legal gifts from friends, grants, donations, and income-generating activities. All funds are solely applied toward the promotion of our objectives.
